Product Introduction

Vitrified microspheres are an advanced type of inorganic, environmentally friendly lightweight insulation material. These microspheres are produced by expanding specially selected mineral sands in an electric furnace. Through precise control of temperature and raw material dwell time, the surface of the particles melts, and the pores are sealed, forming irregular spherical particles. These particles have a porous internal cavity structure and a vitrified, smooth surface, resulting in highly stable physical and chemical properties. Vitrified microspheres are widely used as lightweight aggregates in construction materials, offering excellent thermal insulation, fire resistance, and soundproofing properties. They are ideal for replacing traditional perlite and polystyrene beads in various industries, significantly improving performance while reducing costs.

Product Features

  • Low thermal conductivity, lightweight: Vitrified microspheres offer exceptional insulation and fireproof properties while remaining extremely lightweight.
  • High temperature resistance, fireproof: These microspheres can withstand high temperatures and offer excellent fire resistance, making them suitable for applications requiring thermal stability.
  • Aging resistance: Vitrified microspheres are resistant to aging and have a long service life in various applications.
  • Low water absorption: Their closed-pore structure leads to lower water absorption, enhancing durability.
  • Stable properties: Their vitrified surface and internal structure provide physical and chemical stability across different applications.

Application

  • Building Material Filler: Vitrified microspheres can replace traditional expanded perlite and polystyrene beads as lightweight filler aggregates. These spheres improve mortar fluidity, reduce material shrinkage, and enhance the comprehensive performance of construction materials such as fire-retardant boards, calcium silicate boards, glass magnesium boards, gypsum boards, and artificial stone.
  • Insulation Mortar Aggregate: Vitrified microspheres are used in single-component thermal insulation dry-mix mortars (insulating, masonry, plastering types). They meet national building energy-saving standards, offering high adhesive strength, rapid early strength development, and superior performance compared to traditional materials.
  • Fireproof and Soundproof Insulation: With their low thermal conductivity and high temperature resistance, vitrified microspheres are ideal for fireproofing and soundproofing in various construction applications, including walls, roofs, basements, and fireproof insulation projects.
