Perlite cenospheres, also known as vitrified microspheres or new-generation cenospheres, are primarily composed of silica (SiO2) and alumina (Al2O3). These hollow spheres feature thin walls, smooth and sealed surfaces, and excellent floatability, with a floatation rate exceeding 85%. Thanks to their low density and small particle size, they float on water and provide characteristics such as high strength, low thermal conductivity, fire resistance (up to 1580°C), and superior insulation properties. These attributes make them ideal for use in oilfield drilling, well cementing, refractory materials, and thermal insulation.
