Product Introduction

Closed-Cell Perlite (also known as hollow vitrified perlite) is an innovative inorganic thermal insulation material made from special perlite ore. It is processed under high temperatures above 1000°C using electrical heating, where the product surface is vitrified and the internal structure remains porous. This unique structure gives closed-cell perlite exceptional properties such as lightweight, thermal insulation, fire resistance, and acoustic insulation. It is commonly used in gypsum plaster, refractory bricks, and other industrial and construction applications.

Product Features

  • Environmentally Friendly: Non-toxic, odorless, and solvent-free.
  • Easy Application: Exhibits excellent workability and is easy to control in terms of application thickness.
  • Lightweight: Offers a low thermal conductivity and stable insulation performance while maintaining a lightweight structure.
  • Low Shrinkage: Low drying shrinkage ensures better cohesion and minimal cracking.
  • Excellent Freeze-Thaw Resistance: Resistant to water and high freeze-thaw cycles, making it suitable for a wide range of climates.
  • Strong Adhesion: High bonding strength ensures superior crack resistance and wind pressure resistance.
  • Fire Resistance: Offers excellent fireproofing properties, particularly suited for refractory materials and high-temperature environments.

Product Application

  • Gypsum Plaster and Insulating Putty: Closed-cell perlite is widely used as a filler in gypsum plaster, machine-sprayed gypsum mortar, and insulating putty.
  • Refractory Bricks and Kiln Materials: Its fire resistance makes it suitable for high-temperature applications such as refractory bricks and kiln insulation.
  • Special Insulating Mortar: Closed-cell perlite is used in specialty mortars designed for thermal insulation and fireproofing applications.
  • Lightweight Panels: Often used in lightweight decorative panels, acoustic panels, and ceiling tiles due to its low density and insulating properties.
  • Industrial and Chemical Applications: Closed-cell perlite is suitable for a range of industrial uses, including pipeline insulation, industrial furnaces, and more.
  • Energy-Saving Construction Materials: Used as a replacement for traditional materials like fly ash, cenosphere, and glass beads in building applications.
