DF-10 Hydrophobic Precipitated Silica is a highly efficient defoaming agent specifically designed for use in mineral oil-based defoamers. Produced through a special process, DF-10 offers superior foam-breaking capabilities and excellent dispersibility in hydrophobic solvents. Compared to conventional fumed silica, DF-10 demonstrates significantly enhanced performance, especially in mineral oil-based formulations, where it achieves 5-10 times the defoaming efficiency. Even in silicone oil-based systems, DF-10 delivers nearly double the efficiency of typical fumed silica. The product also excels in challenging environments such as strong acid and alkali systems, where standard silica often fails.

  • Superior Defoaming EfficiencyIn mineral oil-based defoamer formulations, DF-10 delivers 5-10 times the defoaming efficiency compared to traditional fumed silica. In silicone oil-based defoamers, it still offers nearly double the efficiency, providing a significant advantage over other silica types.
  • High Dispersibility DF-10 disperses more easily than conventional fumed silica, particularly in mineral oil and silicone oil-based defoamers. It can be evenly distributed in these systems by heating to 60-80°C and mixing for 30-60 minutes.
